    Good to know

    Pompeii, answered.

The practical details before you go — and if anything's missing, just ask.

    What's included?

All tours include skip-the-line entry and tickets to the excavations, a licensed local guide, hotel pickup and drop-off by air-conditioned coach (minivan on the sharing option), and audio headsets so you always hear your guide. Lunch is included on the Pompeii + Herculaneum day; on the other tours you have free time to eat and your guide can suggest a spot.

    How does hotel pickup work?

You're picked up and dropped off directly at your accommodation in the Sorrento area, or at the nearest meeting point if your location isn't reachable by coach. You confirm your exact pickup point with ViTA when you book.

How much does it cost? Do children pay less?

Adult prices start from €85 (Pompeii half day), €124 (Pompeii + Vesuvius) and €155 (Pompeii + Herculaneum, lunch included). Children aged 2–11 pay a reduced rate — around €68, €99 and €124 respectively; from age 12 the adult price applies. These are indicative starting prices; ViTA confirms the exact total for your date and group.

What language are the tours in?

English and Italian. On the Pompeii + Vesuvius tour a bilingual English/French departure is sometimes available on Tuesdays, confirmed 24 hours beforehand — just ask ViTA.

How long do the tours last?

The Pompeii half day is about 4–5 hours, usually a morning departure back in Sorrento by early afternoon. The full-day options (Pompeii + Vesuvius, Pompeii + Herculaneum) last about 8–9 hours.

    Is lunch included?

Lunch in a local restaurant is included on the Pompeii + Herculaneum day. On the half day and the Pompeii + Vesuvius tour it isn't, but you'll have free time and your guide can recommend somewhere.

Are the tours suitable for visitors with limited mobility?

The excavations have uneven, ancient surfaces, so these tours aren't recommended for wheelchair users or anyone with significant walking difficulties. If you're unsure, message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you find the best option.

    What should I bring?

Comfortable shoes, water, sunglasses and a camera. For the Vesuvius option, add a light jacket for the crater.

How do I book, and can I cancel?

No forms — tell ViTA what you'd like, she finds the available tours and sends a secure link to confirm and pay. All tours have free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Prefer a person? Our team answers on WhatsApp at +39 342 551 7087.

Can I book for today or last-minute?

ViTA checks availability in real time, so last-minute and sometimes same-day spots are possible — give her your date and she'll tell you what's open.
