Walking past the Arsenale, the only remaining medieval shipyard in Italy and a symbol of Amalfi’s maritime power, you’ll arrive at Porta della Marina. Pause here for a moment, if you look up, you’ll see the Pannello Rossi, a ceramic panel on the exterior wall illustrating the territorial and commercial expansion of the Amalfi Republic at its peak.
